1 Dishoom cookbook £17.91
I think cookbooks have to be paper. I just do. I quite like a bbc good food recipe, but for proper cooking, I want a real book. They look and smell wonderful. Dishoom is fabulous. There is a new outpost in Leeds which I am dying to try.

2. Inomo Steel Chef Knife £19.98
I don’t think any kitchen is complete without a knife. This has a decent steel blade and is pretty unusual. It’s certainly an eye catching gift.

3. Kitchen Aid Mini Food Chopper £55
This is just an essential piece of kit for anyone who regularly cooks from scratch. Mine broke (different brand) and I sorely need a replacement. This is a tiny piece of Kitchen Aid magic.

4. Kitchen Timer Light Up Disco £12.99
Ah, this is just for fun and would be fab in a stocking!

5. Lakeland Pasta Maker £26.99
We used to have a pasta maker and one Christmas we made our own pierogi on Christmas Eve. Sadly it got dropped and dented beyond use in a subsequent house renovation, but fresh home made pasta is great. One day I will get one again! This is a decent brand and won’t break on you.

6. Purdy and Fig £33.79
So, bear with me on this one. I went in to a farmer’s bathroom this week and it smelled amazing. I tracked it back to this. I always see the adverts, but trust me, this is quite special. You always need to clean your kitchen, so why not have the house smell amazing. It’s also a sustainable and non toxic, organic product.

7. Le Creuset £334
I mean, who wouldn’t my love this?! A really beautiful piece which will last a lifetime. You could cook with this every day and it comes with a lifetime guarantee. I used to have a full set. It accidentally got junked. I’m still a little heartbroken.

8. A gorgeous pestle and mortar – Cole & Mason £40
Perfect for grinding spices and making pastes. A big chunky one can be a great statement piece in a kitchen. I love mine.

9. Pro-Cook Stainless Steel Pan Set
So I bought a non-stick set and it has barely lasted 2 years. Our original stainless steel set has a copper bottom and doesn’t work on our hob. I have just bought this set. I absolutely love it. Highly recommended.

10. Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker £209.99
Who wouldn’t want to make their own ice cream to serve with dessert. A really fabulous piece of kit. One of my kids has it on their list from Santa. Hopefully they will be good to the end of the year!
